Traveling to Nepal
To embark on a journey to the beautiful land of Nepal, you will need a passport that remains valid for at least six months. Both adults and children must have a valid visa. While it’s possible to obtain a multiple-entry visa if you plan on exiting and re-entering Nepal, this isn’t a necessity, as acquiring a visa upon arrival is straightforward. You can either apply for a visa at a Nepalese embassy in your home country or obtain it upon arrival in Kathmandu. While applying in advance might save you time by skipping lines, it could also be more expensive. Therefore, it’s wise to check the visa fees if you’re budgeting your travel carefully.
For comprehensive information on visa regulations, you can visit http://www.immi.gov.np/visa. To make your arrival smoother, you can download and fill out the visa form beforehand, saving you the hassle of doing it at the entry point. Many travelers opt to get their visa upon arrival at the Kathmandu airport. Due to this, queues can sometimes be lengthy, particularly when several flights land at once, but the process is generally smooth and stress-free. It’s a good idea to have your passport photos ready and complete the visa form in advance, although you can also do this in the arrivals hall before joining the line for your visa.
